"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning everyone!

sitting here drinking my coffee and eating egg rice waiting for it to stop drizzling to get started, Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Good morning. I'm drinking a cup of hot tea debating if I want to eat duck eggs or chicken eggs and pancakes. It looks like rain outside. I made my rounds outside this morning. Everyone is doing good. The younger pullets are running around enjoying free ranging. I still haven't processed the younger roos yet. I saw my escaped rabbit across the street in the neighbor's yard. He was headed toward their barn. I'll have to call them to let them know that he is over there. Ironically, they were the ones that gave him to me a year or so ago. Maybe he wants to go back home?

I was awaken this morning by some dog who was crying by my window at 2:40AM this morning. I woke up in a panic because I had NO idea what the noise was. I didn't know if something was outside attacking my animals, so I jumped out of bed and ran outside. I don't know what was wrong with that crazy dog. I ran him away and I don't think that he came back. That messed up my sleep.

I have to get my egg orders ready today for delivery in the morning. Since I was on vacation last week, my Lafayette customers didn't get their weekly order, so the order has doubled. I hope that I have enough eggs for them. I think I'll be short because I had an order for 17 dozen eggs this past week. That wiped me out. With that in mind, I'll probably be having duck eggs for breakfast. I need to keep the chicken eggs for my customers. I usually give all of the extra duck eggs to my neighbor. She loves duck eggs, so I provide her with all that she needs. She is on a fixed income, so I don't charge her. Those duck eggs are so hard to crack. You almost need a hammer to crack them open.

Enjoy your morning everyone.

I'm starting to think wry neck or something similar. I thought she was just holding her head tucked in, but I felt along the length of her neck last night and it seems that her head is actually twisted! The only thing I know of like that is wry neck. Does anyone else know of anything else that could cause a twisted neck? I am giving her vitamins and she is eating so many green beans that I think my whole spring harvest will be gone by tomorrow. I have her inside and bring her out a couple of times a day to sit in her pool. I have to go into town for 4 hours later and am dreading leaving her. My poor girl

Could it be an injury? So her neck is twisted? What vitamins is she getting?

I have a powder vitamin that you can add to water. When I defrost the green beans, I'm putting a bit in with them. She cant extend her neck to eat or drink, so I'm hand feeding her. When I bring her out to spend time in the pool I try to rinse her face a bit and all. I just dont know what else to do for her. I'm going to try to call around and see if there's a vet that can see her tomorrow.

I hope she gets better! I've used the poly vi sol vitamins with some success, too.

Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. We're making our visiting rounds today to my hubby's family. For some reason people are calling left & right this trip wanting to see us. I totally blame FB.

Good morning Julie - sounds like you have your usual busy day ahead! hope your rabbit finds his way back home.

Good morning Cadjien! enjoy your eggs & rice!

Good morning everybody else! looks like rain here too. That's a good excuse to put off culling those extra roos another week, lol. They could stand to get a little bit bigger anyway.

I'm fixing to sear a roast & put it in the crockpot & later on planning on making Paula Deen's pink lemonade cake.

Watching the squirrels playing in the oak tree - ooops, Eagle just crowed & scared them, haha! silly squirrels!

How long was "a while"? Did he get to where he could eat on his own?
