Thanks Julie!!... Can't wait to see how the rest of the pack turns out.Still have Some Buffs,Barreds, and Blue Laced Wyandottes growing. Can't wait till they are a lil older to see how they come out and what I have m/f wise. They are supposed to be Foley/Paul's lines.
Finally got my sand in earlier.I'll start working on the pens tomorrow. That'll be the one time I'll be wishing for overcast skies...lol.... But the BLRW and Silkie babies will be happy, cause their pen is first and the worst.... Here's several of the BLRW(and others)...
Not the best pic,but oh well...
Can't wait for the cooler weather of October to get here.... I got alot of plans...lol...
My oldest son started ROTC this year. Hopefully he does good. He is planning on a military career after school.Hopefully our country will still be standing on it's own feet by that time.
I just got a small flock of BLRW, mostly Jesse Paul lines. They literally just arrived yesterday from GA and AL, but once they are comfy and laying well, I will hatch out some chicks if anyone is interested! I will try and get pics of them soon. You can PM or e-mail me if you would be interested in chicks. I will want to give them a while to settle in and check fertility, but am definitely planning on hatching out once they are acclimated. I have 2 roos(one is gorgeous and HUGE) and 7 hens of laying age, and 16 up and coming 2-4 month olds.
This heat has been killer! We spent all day Sunday finishing one of my chicken pens so the Lavender Orps would have a place to live, and I about died in the heat! Hope everyone and their critters are staying cool!
Good morning everyone. I started on my chores about 8:00 PM last night and I had a wonderful time outside. There was a breeze out there and I was very cool as I walked around and completed chores. No complaints at all from me last night.
