"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I've had the same problem for years, then moved into my in-law's 'gameroom' while my place is being finished. They have two little window units in there, and I can barely keep my eyes open past 8:00 while those things are running. This all ended a few nights ago when it got cold out. Since then I've had to track down a clock and remove the batteries, located the sound of dripping water (deep freeze), and listened to the whining of electrical appliances and cars on the highway for hours while trying to doze off. I tell you, tonight I may just turn them on again to get some rest.

Try a box fan. Every time my in-laws are over for the weekend, neither one can sleep unless there is a box fan running making that humming noise. I now keep an inventory on hand for both the in-laws and the horses out in the barn. LOL!

I won't ever be getting flu shots again. I was getting them every year through work and because we just had a little girl my wife was big time on me to make sure I got one the last few years. Well last year, I ended up in the emergency room not able to walk, all my joints were swollen especially my ankles and I had 104 fever. After a number of test, missing three weeks + of work , crutches, more pills than I have ever taken, I ended up on steroids for three months, the only thing that anyone could come up with was that I must of had a reaction to the flu shot that I had gotten. I'll take my chances with the flu from now on.

I have better pics somewhere, I think at work, when my ankles were much bigger and really a combo of black and blue and a lot of red. This pic is just to give you an idea.....but at this point I was walking again. The bottoms of both my feet were so sore it almost felt like I had jumped off something and broke both heals at the same time. It was a very painful ordeal to say the least.

We got ours - never had any reactions to any of them, & the one year we skipped both of us came down w/a miserable case of the flu -- both of us sick in bed for a solid week -- it was horrible!

I have known several people who did react to the shot & don't get it. I can tell you they changed the formula this year -- it burned & was sore the day after, which it hasn't done in a few years.

On the hop here! tomorrow morning back to the working world so I have to get everything caught up here at home. I will be SO GLAD when Jim "graduates" to a walking cast -- we still have six weeks of hop-hop-hop & no weight bearing on his broken leg, so my chore load is still doubled plus the extra care for him right now. Oh well, this too shall pass...

Have a good Sunday everybody!
