OK pea pics! they aren't the best, but I did want to show the beautiful colors starting to form. I need a camera partner but until Jim's out of his cast I'm winging it solo.... and when I go inside their pen, they want treats & won't let me get far enough back to take a good pic of the silly things!
Julie & I have sister peas -- I raised 4 girls & sold 2 of them to Julie last year. Ours are all about 1 1/2 years old - including our males - now so wont' have the long beautiful train feathers for another 2 years -- but we're getting there!!!! & they will able to breed next year!
Steven that was interesting about the pigeons, thank you for telling us that!
& I absolutely agree about this being the BEST thread on BYC!

we actually did see a llama being transported just like that on our last drive to Wisconsin - it was somewhere in Tennessee going down the highway. We thought we had driven for too long & were hallucinating or something!!
OK the peas: here's Romeo, my silver pied, looking more handsome all the time:
closeup of his train:
D'artagnan, my Buford Bronze:
and his eye feathers starting to form:
and the view I usually get --- all of them wanting treats!!!
