Here is a pic of a fart egg that 1 of my new RIRs layed. They have been laying for 2 weeks now. They started laying exactly at 4 months and 3 weeks old. Their eggs are beautiful. I should have ordered more RIR pullets.

Beautiful! I can't wait for mine to start laying. I LOVE them. They are my favorites & I'm going to hatch some more of them this fall & make them the mainstay of my flock.

Thank you. I think they are my new favorites as well. With your RIR roos, I will also be able to breed them and hatch more and more and more. Well, maybe only 2 mores, not 3 mores. Nonetheless, I hope to have maybe 100 more RIRs next go round.

I forgot to add that I think I'm cursed. I found ANOTHER turkey hen who set up camp in the same neighbor's yard in a closed corner near her garden and she is setting on 20 turkey eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm cursed. I know I am.

I'm on turkey poult overload. I thought I was done with all of this after the 2 million ducks that were hatched last year.

This is what I found on the WalMart site. Do you have any of these? What will fit in the Brinsea Eco 20?

Fascinating! I went and bought a few minnows this morning for our 3 week old ducklings, however it was quite a disappointment as they would chase and eat them only if they got close. I thought it kind of looked like unless they were right at the surface, right under the duckling, it seemed like they were having problems spotting them. Needless to say, I went back to petsmart and bought 100 feeder goldfish. Our duckies can stay underwater chasing them suckers forever! After about 30 min, at least half of them were gone! I doubt we have any left over for treats tomorrow, but hey, once a week entertainment costing 14 dollars is ALRIGHT with me!!

These duckies are some greedy little suckers! There is only about 10-15 feeder fish left in the pool!!

Every hygrometer we found at Walmart was much too big for our Brinsea Mini Advance. We found the perfect sized hygrometer in the reptile/aquarium section at Petsmart. Super tiny.
