"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

He wants any pullets BUT he is an Old Tymer, so he is not into the "show" birds or fancy breeds. He prefers Barred Rocks but will buy RIR or Buffs. He just wants to be able to go out and pick eggs everyday.

Yeah I was just talking about regular chickens all shapes sizes and colors nothing specific "plain-janes" I don't have any show chickens anyhow. My standard bred chickens are out with the regular chickens too. It's probly not worth his drive and efforts anyhow as I'm sure he should be able to find plenty of chickens in the more populated areas as its time for a lot of folks to go out with old and get new in the springtime, a lot of folks don't like feeding non-producers in the winter months. Hope you find him some he can use, pullets are a rare commodity this time of the year. esp in this part of the US most folks hatch early in the late winter early spring not so much in the hot summer months. if they have pullets they are saving them for next laying season you will more than likely find old

Yea, I told him it would be hard to find but I still ask around I'm sure I won't find any for him that he can afford. If I had extras, I would give to him but I need my girls for eggs. He may have to wait until next year. He has a few but he wanted a few more.

Just wanted to tell you that my chicken, Primrose, won the Pets in Pink contest and is the representative for Breast Cancer Awareness at The Advocate newspaper here in Baton Rouge. They will be doing something about her winning.
