Can we please not discuss the Purple individual? I really don't want his friends telling him he is being discussed and having him show up to tell us how we need to put up with chicken killing, defecating dogs in our yards or whatever.

I got my view the old fashioned way; I inherited them. As my mother used to say, "If I wanted dogs**t in my yard, I'd have a dog."

Back when I was in college I had a roommate who had a poorly house trained pet. When I objected to animal feces on the floor, or urine on the living room couch, her response was "Most people like animals." I noted that she was very fond of people, but I suspected she'd object if someone peed on her bed. Point made.

I don't know how things work where you are, but look into a harresment order, it works the same as a restraining order. Just a restraning order is used for more family issues, a harresment order you can use on a neighbor. I haven't went that route yet because I can't prove anything, but the cop in town told me I could go to the court house and have one against the neighbor.

If you are wondering what my neighbor does, she picks fights, she killed my birds, which I know cuz since I put up a 5 foot fence around he coop and a tarp on top, I don't have one dead bird! She called th board of health saying I don't take care of my birds, which he found I was the cleanest chicken owner he hs ever saw!

Any way look into that and I would video tape her son or call the state and see if you can get the joints tested for dna.

Good luck this is not an easy thing to deal with, just make sure you go the legal way, cuz if you do something to her that is not legal to get revenge she could end up getting you in trouble!

You will need some way to keep your animals on your property or she is going to get one of them. I don't know how strong the 'castle' doctrine is around NO, but I would not count on being able to go into her yard to retrieve an animal, especially considering that it probably wouldn't end with you just walking off the property with the animal.

I'm not sure any police dept would rush out with the DNA testing to work on a posession issue. That and I think the NO police force is strained trying to keep up with even more serious crimes.

However, there is always the chance that they would pick up the son and then pressure him to say who he gets his pot from, as most of the time, they know who is dealing but just need to get sufficient information on them to be able to take them in. But perhaps the son is dealing. There's always that. Except if he just uses and eagerly rats out his supplier, he may just be right back home soon. Probably not for long though. Just long enough to pack and move to Oregon.

They may not do the DNA testing of course; all they need to do is a hairstrand drug test or the basic urine test on everyone. I bet the OP would gladly supply a sample!

I am up a 3rd night in a row at 3am thanks to the neighbors teens and friends *hanging out* in their yard.Makes my dogs bark and then I am up. I think saying things to neighbors just makes the situation worse. Toss the poop back into their yard and build a fence to contain your pets. I hated depending on the neighbors fence to keep my pets in my yard.Not sure what you could do for the front yard other than outline the front with small fencing.She could place the dog over the fence to void,which ofcourse a basic game cam will pic right up!

That duck situation would have sucked.I think I might have risked arrest and just gotten the duck hoping that without a trespass sign they could not arrest.

My friend reported a neighbor(over and over) for selling drugs out of their home.It took a lot of calling,but eventually the people were arrested or moved.Situation got way worse before it got better.That is often how it gets when things escalate with the neighbors.Report law offenses.Hand over the pot you find in your yard.Unfortunately people like your neighbor will get much pleasure from finding ways to annoy you.Hopefully it will not lead to property damage.

Me, I mostly worry about a neighbor hurting my animals,or god forbid they(or friends) get the bright idea to break in.I heard the kids egging my dogs on,but other than that they kept to their yard.I wanted to yell out so bad,but held it in.It is getting colder and the teens should be moving inside soon.If they know I get upset they will just be louder and have a good laugh on me for a longer time.

Maybe there are laws on the book about animals and not keeping a dog in your own yard.I know ours has something about animals causing property damage.For either one you can be fined.Urine kills the grass and feces is a health hazard due to parasites.

ok if here back yard is a mess, i would say that her house in a mess...... code violation right there..... i would be calling the city.........the ins thing wouldn't work.....to many of them here to really do any thing...but yeah if you want to make her life a living hell go after codes, that will work. if her cat comes and bothers your duck (which is comsiderd live stock) just shoot it. i know that sounds mean but she might get the message across that your not fooling around.
