Loving the chick life!

I enjoy the layout of the other articles, as long as they are easier for ya!

And it's so cute, and a little heart breaking. I'm hoping they become friends with the two new chooks I'm bringing home tomorrow. (Mother was thrilled when I told her I have two coming home before I have a coop.. /sarcasm

Fine by me! I'll hop to it!

I figured your mom would be just thrilled with the idea! Well the new chooks can just go with the others. Eventually they'll pair! The older chicks will be pretty big when you get them, so you'll have to start construction before next week!

They are rather okay with all this though, so I'm happy. I've made sure to tell them thank you for letting me keep my babies! And what I've been doing recently, is taking them outside and putting them in the large dog crate until it starts getting dark. They have a shelter in there now if it happens to start storming.

Well at lease they're happy with it! The chicks should be okay with the shelter there. I don't have a shelter for mine, but they do have access to the warmth of the coop. At lease my parent started my flock, so I had no worries about the manner! The first batch they bought me where the Easter Eggers (Puckle, Bonnie, Whitey, Neice, Marigold, and Margaret, then came the Brown Leghorns (Queeny, Cupcake, Fluffy, Goody-Bag, Mother Hen, and Henny Penny), then came the first rooster (Cornelius), then a big batch of different breeds of chicks (All named, 30 of them), then the Leghorn Rooster (McQuine), and so on!

12 is still okay! It's really better than 2! Our next birds were Crow's first chicks, Julie, Walter, Sunil, Chloe, Jolly, Holly, and Roy, then Smilo's chicks, Peanuts, Alice, Douglas, Velvet, and Gemma, then came our first incubated chicks, Sven, Georgia, Lompey, Pepi, Kevin, Chesterton, Biscotti, Pierce, Tim, Ann, and Chelsea, then the Barred Rocks, Dawson, Stella, Loti, and Prince, then the Rhode Islands, Valentine, Crest, Faithful, and Gracey, the second incubator batch, Henrietta, Philip, Jr. Puckle, Regis, Victor, Diep, Tina, Tancerella, Rom, and Jr. Kevin, then came the Buff Orpington hens, Poppy, Pop Corn, Jessica, and Jenifer, then the Jersey Giant, Big Ben. The next one coming is the Buff Orpington Rooster (I've handled them already and the roosters are very kind) and possibly 30 Danish Leghorns which I am going to buy. But now I have to stick to building some barns! I'll send the pictures when they're done so you can see what a pallet barn looks like when recycled properly. I'm building 8 or 9 of them!
