Low production/soft shelled

So is this short term week once a day for a week or what🤔
Sending out the bat-call for help on this one!

I did this once (preparing to keep doing it), and her egg was fine the next day. So I didn’t keep treating, although I was prepared to. She had started laying sooner than I expected, and I didn’t realize that she wasn’t eating the oyster shell.

I’ve read that when older hens start having problems, calcium is given over a longer period, but I don’t remember the schedule or why you decide to treat more than once.

Well I took her to the spa tub and gave her a vent cleaning. She had a nice pink bootae, feathers too. Gave her a fluffing up drying and styling and now she is kinda panting, breathing is funny because I think she stressed out. 🤔🐓🥴

It is normally recommended to give it to them for 5-7 days. No more than that. If she is not eating OS, she will need the help building up calcium in her system to help develop the shells.
We also stopped after one tablet once and found we had to resume it two days later.
I have oyster shell and grit out for there consuming leisure . ✔️😁👍🐔🐓
