Lucille was given to me by a friend because she was being badly picked on by his other birds. Her skull is exposed, and while she doesn't appear to be in any pain, I want to make sure I am doing all for her that I can. Her previous guardian cleaned it thoroughly with soap and water, and wrapped it for the first day or so. It is open now, and as far as I can tell, aside from the severity of the injury itself, it looks all right. I haven't touched it, yet. I wanted to do some reading, and ask for any advice this group may have.

Swab it with peroxide, and then rinse it with warm water, you can apply some kind of ointment. Or organic unfiltered honey if you have that.
