lump and limping

Was hanging out with the girls this am and this poor girl came out of the nesting box limping. On further inspection I found this lump between her toes. Is this bumblefoot or something else? Doesn't seem to cause her pain and she's eating and drinking.

First thing I would do is get a good look inside that fold of her foot to see if she's got a plug of debris stuck up in there, if so, remove it.

She had a little bit of dirt. Cleaned it but didn't really look different.

Looks like an abcess. Have you tried to drain (16 guage needle and syringe)?

Huh. That's interesting.
Then if it's not debris trapped in the fold of the foot, you will want to treat.
Here's a good article about removing the pus from the foot. Chicken pus is solid, so you'll likely have to lance the area.

thanks for the help! I'll try to drain tonight after I run for supplies. Poor girl!
