This is my black white crested polish pullet Birdie who has a lump on her back.😬 She has always been like this just thought I may as well post and make sure it’s fine? So it isn’t on top of the skin but it instead feels like one of her bones stick out farther and it’s more feathered there too? Does it look fine? She acts the same as any other chicken and it doesn’t have any effects on her at all.😉 Thanks in advance for any help!😁

Chickens can have physical anomalies just like humans. I happen to have a hard bump the size of ping pong ball on the base of my neck just to the right of my spine. I've had it for decades. It's never caused me any discomfort. My behavior is not altered by it in the least.

This is the criteria I go by when I notice a physical anomaly on one of my chickens. If their behavior isn't affected by it, I don't worry about it. I do monitor it for changes, though, and am always alert to any behavior changes, as well.
