Yes definitely, I had my hair cut in layers so it's too thin and choppy to braid like that ;-; I wish I could though...

I have thick hair! Like you wouldn't imagine. If I got my hair cut any shorter it would be sticking all over my head.

It's pretty thick, but not quite thick enough for a braid like that, I don't think. It gets thicker as I get older.
