Luster

Pics
The two-head dragon stepped atop a large boulder at the brink of a hill with a short cliff on one side. Pollux reared his head and pierced the darkened, night sky with a streak of scorching fire that was unnaturally colored like the sun.
"This better be important. I was in the middle of sleeping." Pollux growled.
"Much like the rest of the dragons were. You are not the only one being woken." Castor snapped at his brother with narrowed eyes, but then glanced at where the dragons would be meeting at the bottom of the cliff.

And so the dragons met below the rocky crags
To find a solution for the mighty war that drags
On from the western coast.
For those who dare to boast
In battle their claws, their wings, and their breadth,
One finds that touching man can bring one to his death.

His footsteps echoed off the castle walls as he paced up to the woman at the window. She stared out towards the west, seeing and unseeing at the same time. For to the west lay the portal to Luster, swirling just on the horizon. Her eyes reddened as his touch brought her back to reality. His gloved hands pulling the hair away from her ears. Her bloody, scarred ears. Twisted they were, as though someone had cut them with the bluntest of shears. "Are you happy here?" William said.

"Yes, my lord," she said.

He set his chin on her head and breathed the scent of her hair, "Do you miss your home? Do you want to go back?"

"No, my lord." Her red eyes glistening in the light of the window. She felt his whiskers move across her face as he kissed her cheek, the wrapping his arms around her. And he whispered that word, that ragged swear from his lips;

"Good."
