Luster

Rigel flew to the dragon meeting place with his mother and sister, landing and finding a place to settle in for the meeting that had been called. He looked to the king then to his mother, chatting with her softly while they waited for the meeting to begin.

When William had left her sight, drawn away by some unknown errand, she rested her head in her hand against the stone windowsill. She found herself humming, her moans amplified by the tunnel shaped hall.

While to find a key at last,
in this palace of death
I would rather run from this past.
To find what hope is left

While everything that luster lacks
Lies in the these walls of stone,
In vain I've searched the cracks.
And I remain alone.

I almost wish to find a rope...
But I will remain steadfast
Charging myself to find this hope.
Will I see that key at last?

Footsteps. Malaga whipped her head around, instinctively pulling her hair over her ears. She breathed. It was only the chamber maid.

"I apologize m'lady," said the gentle woman, "but it brings me such pleasure to hear thy voice."

A smile crossed the Lady's face, but it did not reach her eyes. She simply nodded, and turned back to her window. The sun was setting, on the third day. The dragons were meeting now, she could almost feel it.

Elytra's head shot towards her caves entrance as an orange light danced up her wall. She cocked her head and wondered who would be calling a meeting now, then recognized the distinctive color of the flames. She sighed, then leaped from the entrance of her cave and soared towards the origin of the spear of flames.

Elytra swooped into the dragon meeting place. "What is going on?"

*Feels rushed* *but still takes forever to think about what to post* *is a disgrace to the dragon population*

Pollux scowled down at the gathering group of dragons. He mumbled something incoherently and was quickly met by an annoyed, icy stare from his brother.
Castor then turned his head to acknowledge the other dragons with a friendly nod. "Dragons. While I apologize for any inconveniences we have caused you, it has come to our attention that the humans may be a threat to our kind." Castor said cooly and let his words sink in before opening his mouth to continue but was interrupted by his brother.
"You must guard your caves and gold. The humans are new and may be on the hunt for valuable ores and dragon heads to display their own pathetic kingdom." He said with much too harsh words. Castor sighed. You would think that after 800 years, at least his tiny brain would grow to the size of his head.

(Hm, was that post any good? Should I change or add anything? This the first time my characters are actually playing aimportant role in a RP.)

Elytra scoffed. "Yes, they just may be a threat, and they may have killed my parents, along with numerous other dragons. These humans are destroying our world! They aren't after our gold, they're after the extinction of our race, and that'll happen if we don't take the offensive!"(not saying their speech was bad. Elytra is kinda mean and bitter, especially if you don't know her well.)

Thorn narrowed his eyes suspiciously, crouching lower into the rocky crag that he had found to conceal himself. What is wrong with these dragons? He thought. You'd think that they would have the brains to join the humans! Instead they're holding a meeting!
He grinned evilly and perked his ears to listen as a young water dragon shouted something petty about how horrible the humans were, and he rolled his eyes in boredom.
If they're not going to talk about anything important than I'm leaving. I'm not wasting my entire day listening to these pathetic dragons talk about how they're all going to die. Suddenly, something caught his interest. The angry dragon had yelled something about taking the offensive. Well, maybe this is worth listening too. If I can get valuable information, Queen Jezebel will be pleased.

Elytra waited for the king to respond.
Jezebel delicately sipped her coffee as she listened to her generals babbling. Sometimes, though very rarely, they thought of things she didn't, and she didn't want to miss something that might prove useful.
(can Lord Byron be part of the humans war council? just to verify, he's very evil, right?)

"Thank you, my little friend." Eira whispered to the little sparrow perched on her finger. It nodded, and she watched as it flitted away to it's nest. Turning, Eira spread her wings and lifted off, swerving through the trees. She was headed toward the highest tree in the forest, from which she could see for miles. Yes, there were the telltale sparks of fire rising in the distance. Many things would depend upon the dragons' decision tonight.
(She's an animal fairy :))

Another meeting was being held, but one not so quiet. Before the swirling, spinning gate that could only mostly be seen, seven thousand helmets gleamed. The calvary beasts stamped their one-toed hooves, and the trumpet sounded and all was hushed. One cloathed in skins rode to the front and center, and recited the magic that the woman had given.

Let our victory continue,
Let the curse remain!
For this evil here before you,
Shall tonight be slain!

A mighty roar went up, and the steeds snorted and reared. The man in furs pulled out a vile. One full of fairy tears. From the drop he let fall, a spark went up- and smoke! This lavender haze embedded the disease that their friend. He drew his sword and gave the signal, then through the haze they charged. With a war before them that Luster had never felt before. Or since.
