In Lynchburg you can only have 4 chickens, any more is considered agriculture. You can have roosters though they are trying to get rid of them.

It's been awhile since I've been on the site but wanted to make you aware of inaccurate information for Lynchburg, VA. The site says their are no restrictions for Lynchburg,VA, but there are. It's zoning related: for example, I owned a home under .5 acres in R-C and I could only have 4 hens, no roosters and had a set back requirement. It's different for each zoning property. Some require permits and animal control is very active. You may want to revise the ordinances since so many people rely on you. This is a copy of the ordinance that applied to me but it's different for each zoning classification.
