hey kittymomma, nice to hear from you. I read about the marbles. and NO I don't know anything, first hatch and I of course did everything wrong, I think I'll candle tongiht, now that I have an ultra high powered led bulb. I'm concerned that many don't show veins...

Cheryl, your nursery is great looking, so sunny and cheerful! I love it.

I know that people say to start the heat lamp at 95, then decrease 5 degrees every week, but my chickies didn't like it that warm. You could start at 90 and decrease from there if you wanted. But the chicks will let you know by huddling under the light if cold, and huddling in another corner if too warm.

How many days are the eggs now? Thanks for sharing, I feel like we are right there with you.

...we have 15 in the bator. We are going to candle tonight, I think some are clear and one has a blood spot. Do I toss the clears or wait?

Are you sure your light is strong enough? Are you able to see the air sac at all?

BTW, I love the yellow on the nursery!!

By clear, do you mean you see absolutely nothing?? Just like a freshly laid egg?

I have a very high powered led that I'm going use tonight (before I just had a flashlight) and take photos of all so you "experts" can help me. Yes Some were clear without an air sac. Does that mean they were infertile?
