"My daughter is such a picky eater!!! She won't eat anything healthy,, green vegetables?? No way!!! But when her bad eating habits started affecting her growth,, we rushed to our DR who said: spend a fortune and buy Pediasure for your spoiled rotten, picky, child, you bad, bad, parent!!"

This ad just kills me!! If their toddler is such a horrible, picky eater, it's the lousy parents fault! They don't need to go buy Pediasure, they need to tell their spoiled brat to sit down, shut up, and eat what is on her plate! Is their 15 year old going to be carting cases of Pediasure to basket ball practice because she is still a picky eater???
AGHAGHAGAHGH!!!! I would have worn my dinner if I tried that crap on my grandparents!

That is as bad as my sister in law making separate suppers for her hubby, and each of the 3 kids because they didn't all like the same thing,, eat or go hungry I say!! But you will sit at my table and watch the rest of us eat our meal, the same meal, a healthy meal, whether you like what I fixed or not!

My sentiments exactly. Eat what I fixed or go hungry!!And yes, you will join us at the table too.

I had a friend who lived in Indiana who would fix her son a different meat apart from what she had already fixed. Nope, nada, ain't gonna happen here.

Good to know someone else is as mean as I am...lol! I have to cook different for one for food allergies, and that's quite enough as is. We usually ALL eat the same anyway...around DD 12's allergies, just so I don't have to fix different meals. When I do fix seperate things, it's because the other 3 of us have a craving for something she can't have and I fix her favorites for her. Life's just to short to cater to every individual in the kitchen due simply to spoiled preferences IMO. Allergy is one thing, brattiness is another!! I agree with you 100%. DD hates some of the things I cook that she can have, but....she eats it anyway, because I make her have some of everything. When she's 18 she can eat how she wants to cook. Otherwise go hungry if ya don't like it. I remember as a kid sitting for 3 hours over a plate of spinach. I got a spanking over it and STILL HAD TO EAT IT, and now I am glad it was that way! THANKS TO MY MOM!!!!

I was much healthier as a child due to a good balanced diet...forced or not, and my backside was just fine as well!

Equally annoying in the chef boyardee ad, where the little girl wants spegettios and mom says "not tonight, you've had chef everynight this week"

Really? you feed your kid that much processed crap, and then wonder why they don't want anything else?

Maybe the girls from the 2 ads are sisters.

I think I fall somewhere in the middle of that. I make only ONE meal but do offer the alternative of a peanut butter sandwich for anyone who cannot choke down what I have offered. And they have to make it themselves.

With 3 children, it is hard to find a months worth of meals that everyone will eat. So probably once per week, someone will find something going on the table that they simply hate so they drag out the jar of peanut butter. If I only made meals that everyone liked then some of us would never get our favorite meals..lol.

Hmm i'm pretty sure my mom's spinach was toxic... she's boil it till it was a mass of green slime and drench it in vinegar. Here if it's a new dish we all have to try it, if we hate it, it doesn't reappear. But no eating it once and then deciding you don't like the same dish you've eaten for 3 years.

LOL I know, I hate that ad too. Plus Chef's is expensive..
My kids are not picky at all and eat everything..I guess I'm lucky!

I'm with you on this one, Camelot. My 12 year old doesn't like tomatoes or rice. When we have something he doesn't care for, he'll make himself a sandwich. I try to include meals he does enjoy into our menu plan. The problem is, he has a taste for lobster and crab. Those are expensive!

That Chef Boyardee ad is another one!! I have to cook around all my allergies for me, that's different! If my son is allergic to bananas I'm sure not going to make him eat banana pudding. As for "I'm not hungry" and then Mickey D's, no way Jose,, ain't gonna happen!
