mad as a wet weasel

Who is the lady insured with. I feel that I pay alot of money for something I hope that I never need to use. I wouldn't want her insurance company. I want to be covered.....no matter what.

Their logic is so faulty.

God didn't tell her to not take an insulin shot.

God didn't tell her to be selfish enough to get behind the wheel feeling sick and knowing the repercussions of her behavior. Low blood sugar doesn't just magically start appearing at age 84. Chances are she had these symptoms for several years at least, and chose to walk on the wild side

So, under that flawed logic, if I get totally ratfaced on alcohol, go out and drive, crash into a house, hurt people, and hurt myself, I can say "it was an act of God that my liver didn't process the alcohol fast enough for me to sober up?"

What a truly twisted society we live in.

And this will probably get me flamed, but considering most accidents I've nearly been in and the times I've nearly been hit have usually involved the elderly, I would like to say "You had your long life. You have no right to endanger the right to live mine to the fullest." A lot of the very elderly shouldn't drive, but I know from living out here that many of them simply do not have a choice since they do not have friends and family to care for them. It makes me very sad.

I like this I googled "acts of God" and got this::
Act Of God
n. act of God is a legal term for those events which are outside of control of humans and for which no one can be held responsible and which cannot be prevented. If a duty, to be performed, is casted by law on a party and its execution is hindered by Act of God, then the party can be excused. But someone who put others in danger by his/her negligence or lack of character or unpreparedness which could have been avoided, then he is held guilty for the slip even in case of Act of God.

The insurance company she has is All State. You know the ones you're in good hands with. It is a a load of Stinky cat litter in my book.

I thought the "new term" was: "That's a bunch of Pelosi!"

I had to laugh when I read these posts -- not at the original post although maybe at the stupidity of the claims adjuster that thinks they will get by with someone hitting a car and calling it an act of God. I'm sorry this happened to your car and hope it all gets straightened out soon.

Most certainly contact your insurance company...they will take care of it and go after her insurance company.

P.S.: having represented Allstate, State Farm, Progressive, AIG, Nationwide, Farm Bureau, Travelers, Mutual of Omaha, Geico and many others....I will only be insured by Nationwide, been with them for over 25 years. Allstate is the most often sued by their own insureds for failing ot pay their own claims much less the other vehicle. State Farm is barely better.
