MagsRags... here's your baby!

i checked them last night but im not really that great seeing the veining and all.. but im not sure.. it doesn't look too promising... but the PO played hell on my eggs(and have been on almost every shipment ive gotten this year! ugh) anyway, ill keep everyone updated..

now, i was wondering, mags, if i cannot get a decent hatch out of these, is there any way i would be able to buy some from you?
Thanks
Sue

Afraid I won't be able to sell or give away anymore eggs. Looks like next week my hens & their roo go to their new digs. A great home so that made this easier to deal with.
In the end I might be able to keep a couple of small birds tucked away someplace. Just not as I have it now.
The little Seramas are looking mighty good right about now. Indoors even.

im sorry you have to get rid of them. i'm glad i live in the country and my neighbors are decent;) but i hate stupid neighbors.

Thanks
Sue

She has feathered feet!!!! NONE of the others did!
My brothers is rumpless with red highlights on her neck and no feathered legs...but 5 toes!! Wow, so interesting to compare.

I didn't even notice that the OPs didn't have feathered feet! Isn't that crazy! Do you think she'll be black? Hard to tell in the pics probably with the dark backround. My daughter named her Sophie the Silkie.

OK... I'm jealous! Hers has feathered feet and mine don't!

ha ha

Regardless... New York is adorable and I wouldn't trade him/her... even for feathered feet. NY now has company as I've hatched 6 little silkies, 5 partridge and one buff. He's in the same brooder with them and seems very "motherly", not agressive at all, even though he's a few days older. He'll be residing in the same little coop and run with them.

Maggie, again I am so sorry you're having to part with your pets. What a tradegy! Something tells me you're not fighting this very hard. Anyone who has seen your video knows how much you love them and how well they are taken care of. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do and thanks again for sharing your bounty with us.

Does yours have any feathering on it's legs? Jet did but short and just around the top 1//3 or so.

Jet was JET black when born. Thus the name.... I mean everything on him with not a touch of color otherwise.
Now older just pretty highlights in gold/red along neck/back.

unfortunately, the last four eggs i had in the bator were still clear the last time i checked. were due to go into the hatcher tonight.

Ohhh......chicken poop.:<((

Don't feel too badly, my brother had 3 seperate hatches due all the same day...over 35 eggs and not one went to term. After having a fabulous hatch only 7 days before. it really is luck I am beginning to believe.
I had last month over 50 eggs in the bator and only 18 hatch out.

( I don't think I can incubate anymore. takes too much outta me.

I am sorry I do not have any more eggs to give away.
