Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I have a Silkie who went broody at the back of the coop. I moved her a couple of times, but she keeps going back. So a couple of days ago I stuffed 6 Sussex eggs under her to see what happens. She seems to be determined... I never see her off those eggs.

I have two mostly Boar buck kids (to be weathered). Soon getting a milking doe or two, hopefully Nubians.

Bunnies and cows and goats, OH MY!! lol

I'm hoping to get some milking goats as well!! Was just in contact with the 4h goat lady. I'm sure thats not what i'm supposed to call her

. I'll either be getting LaMancha or Nubians, and I'm ok with either.

Are those little guys Alpines?

Edited to add: My little backwards pipper hatched! I had to help pop the top as he was a touch dried out (my fault, early brinsea mini hatches catch me with my humidity down

) Can't take a pic right now as there are two in there foggin up the place!

Love the Biker Chick pic. Cute kid ya got there.

I want land so bad. I'd love to have a few goats. I want mini horses too. OH or one of the Spanish horse breeds. I'm trying to figure out which I like the brest.

We went to the auction yesterday and I tried to get pics with my phone of the dancing Spanish horses that were there. I'm going to send them to myself and see if they're as bad as they seem.

Thank you. I think my kiddos are adorable. You know what they say about having a good looking rooster right? Well I will give all the credit for good looks to my hubby.
I will second you on the "I want land". I want it for me - so I can have lots of animals, but I wish it for my sons too. Wish they had an opportunity to run around to their heart's content, to climb trees, and jump fences and get into all the mischief boys are supposed to. They get into mischief here at our little home, but I hate that they are so contained.
This is my son with his biker chick if anyone wondered.

man times go by so slow i have 23 eggs on lockdown on day 15 they all were alive i see 2 or 3 moving i am on day 19 there was 6 moving yesterday but today i can only see 2 or 3 moving it is getting harder to sit on my hands do they stop moving before trying to hatch out of egg also when should i start to see pips. i can tap on the window a little bit just enought to make noise bit not to shake the incubator and the 3 eggs wiggle like crazy

Hey Countrygirl! I'm on lockdown, too, with 25 eggs, but I don't see any moving. All the light eggs were good when I put them in lockdown, and I assume most of the dark ones were, too, but I just can't candle them. None of mine are visibly moving, and no pips yet. Tomorrow night they are officially due. I'm jealous you can see movement!!
