Just found out my girl emu is a boy emu! Not a problem. I have two more coming and surely one of those will be a girl. I am so surprised at how they truly bond with humans as babies. This little guy wants to be with us all the time, in fact, he is having a tantrum as I type this. I took him for a walk yesterday down our dirt road about a quarter mile and he stayed with me every step of the way, no leash, no harness, nothing. He is 2 weeks old tomorrow.

Got a HUGE goose egg today, well 3 goose eggs but this one was 8.2 ounces, and she's only a little 10 month old Roman. Got three in the 'bator already.

ok, so I broke down and "bought" 6 Cornish rocks last weekend from the feedstore, 3 days old they said. Put them in with the two week old Ameraucanas, since they were the same size, and now they are towering over them. I simply can't believe how fast they grow.

I'm actually cooking chicken tonight; don't remember when we last had some, mostly bunny and duck and goat lately.

I've turned into a collector.

I need HELP

An intervention

Rehab.........!

DW and I just spent a few hours with the delightful SCG!

It's great to put a name with a face. I believe her BF is a very lucky/blessed man.

Wish I had acreage like her, but glad I don't live in the northern tundra.
