I have eggs at the post office so it looks like I'll be having several batches hatch before Easter and I'm setting turkeys tomorrow those will hatch on time....I have more eggs on the way but I don't think I'll let them sit for 4 days before I put them in......I'll set some Golden Cuckoos but the fertility hasn't been great it's still flooded here so maybe I can set some of my own Delawares too they are living in lakefront property.....

The porch has become a lttle too comfy for all of the birds. You have to watch with a couple of the freerangers already, because the lay eggs on the step. Gotta look down or you'll step on one. I finally gave up. There are 3 nest boxes lined up against the wall. They use those when they are free ranging anyway. But I still have one goofy bird laying right at up against the step now.

My yard is a lake and I know in 6 weeks it will look like desert. I can have green grass all yard, but this ground doesn't soak up enough water to keep it green when I want it during the summer.

Oh, and as to what time you set them, doesn't matter much, but, to me, if you set them early it makes the wait easier. It sucks when day 21 actually starts at 6pm and at 9 am you're like ok, its day 21 where are you?!?!

I have a bunch of eggs going in today. Doms from lamike, and a bunch of my own.... blue orps, BCM, and some test BW Am x EE......

I'm feeling LAZY.

I just woke up again... I guess I really needed the sleep.

I'll be putting eggs under the broody today and meeting mclevinson halfway with her eggs...

Then this evening, dinner and a special lecture with DW and friends. Should be fun.

DS #3 and DS#4 just flew to Hawaii this morning with their school choir... they get back on the 30th.

DS#3 just called.... said they just landed and that it was 11:40AM there. Wow... 6.5 hour flight. I didn't realize that it was that far away... but I suppose DC is almost that far from Phoenix and we flew there last summer. (5 hours)

I will probably never lay eyes on Hawaii, but I'm a home body anyway.
