Well I candled and removed 15 eggs. Almost all shipped but 1 Turkey egg. But I did lose power for 24 hours
70 left.

And yes Turkeys take forever.

Good Morning All! karimw so sorry to hear about the dog attack

Laree, sorry about your two chicks too. I lost a buff chick on my last hatch and I was also glad that it went on it's own.

I just got done candling my eggs. All six turkey eggs still have swimmers in them. I had three of CC's eggs that quit early and the rest of them are still good. Down to only 24 eggs but they all look good and now no more stacking. I increased my humidity a little since the air cells are looking a little big already. The best news is that I still haven't lost any of the lav AM eggs. I am really hoping that they all hatch! Today I am meeting up with another BYC'er from Utah so that I can give her 16 -18 of my AM eggs. She has agreed to do a test hatch for me so I can figure out Mr. Cogburn's fertility. Keeping

that she has a good hatch so I don't have to get rid of him. He is such a good boy. Remember today is the last day for the strangest place birds lay contest. Please submit your entry if you have a picture of an odd place your bird has laid!

Debi, Been there, done that.

Sometimes parenthood is tough.......they make choices we don't like......but we love them through it.

karimw, I hate reading about dogs destroying flocks like yours.

I hope you are able to rebuild it with the help of those you've provided with eggs.

By this time next week......................we'll be inundated with all manner of feathered babies.........
