, but it was through snail-mail, so I have no idea when they'll come. At least it keeps me from bidding on every single auction that comes up on BYC! I went through an evening of that, but my pockets weren't deep enough!

I've sort of settled into the rhythm of the hatch now and am thoughly enjoying it; much less stressed. Six chickies out and a seventh working on it (5 EEs, 1 SS, 1 SS zipping.)

I have one that pipped yesterday. Has a good sized hole through which I can see its beak but isn't making any progress zipping. It just keeps working away at the air through the hole it's made - and not making any progress hatching. Should I be doing something?
 
Forget catching up at this point. I know Mahonri's hatches darn it. Aperson could go blind and I'm already close.

Been out back building another raggedy coop. Well the coop is in progress. I actually tore it apart and started over. My hoop run???? LOL Yeah right. Calling it my tent run. What a mess.

One of my Game hens wouldn't come off her roost all day. I kept checking on her and she seemed fine, just wouldn't come down. A few hours later Makayla yelled that she fell down, so I grabbed her up and put her in a crate with food and water. She still didn't seem sick or anything. Took a little water, so I left it with her, but when I went back 10 minutes later she was dead. I don't know why. She really looked fine, just didn't want to come down. It started raining, so we came in and we'll have to bury her tomorrow. Was not a good day for me for something like that to happen.

Anyway I have 3 chicks out. I had to help the BCM because when I went to count chicks I noticed he was stuck, so had to help him. Added more water to the chambers so I hope I don't have more stuck in their shells. Did notice nay other pips, so maybe the water will work. I hope. BTW this chick is huge next to the BCM mixes, which all of the eggs are, but I don't know how he fit in that egg.

LOL! I did too. When I say fixed, my DH gets mad. He says they broke me.

I had medical issues that caused 3 miscarriages and so I was done.

Then we were given the chance to adopt a beautiful baby boy. And we jumped at it. There is a LONG story here...... And his biological mother did not get her tubes tied, again it is a long story. I have a fear that she will call me. (And if I am honest maybe a small amount of hope.)

But our youngest is a handful! He just turned 3.

I was both amazed and fearful when I found out but overwhelmingly happy. The greatest things in our lives are rarely a straightforward feeling of happiness but for me, usually that mixture of awe and fear and joy.
