Well, an hour ago I had 15 pips, I left for a dr. appt, and when I came home.....4 chicks!!! And several of the pips are zipping now!!!

I think I know what happened so it was my fault. She's a little smaller than my other games and she was in with one of my BCM roo. Yesterday he was chasing her all over and she squaked and ran. Then later he chased her down again. A while back I almost lost one when she got hurt during breeding. I remember she ran in and got on the roost yesterday. I didn't realize she was hurt, but she did walk a little off when I took her down, like the other one a while back. Just realized that was the same girl as yesterday, so put 2 and 2 together. Everyone else is out scronging around in the yard. I feel horrible that I didn't think if it earlier. My roo has started to get even bigger lately, so I think it's time to wait for a younger one to use when I go that mix. I feel so bad. I had two exactly alike and we called them Thing 1 and Thing 2. I just didn't realize how big he was getting until today when he csame up to bug me.

Back in from chores, I can see four chicks in the bator now...

could be more but can't see in very well and don't want to open the door...so...wait some more...

In some ways it is good that I can't see what's going on, it would bother me to watch them flail around and I'd be likely to help when I shouldn't.....but I would like to know how many there are out!!
