I can't quite figure out what to order either...I want EVERYTHING and have only so much space so I need to choose wisely.

Does anyone happen to know the adult weight for BANTAM sussex? And do they still lay prolifically? And are they still just as sweet personality?

. I already lined up eggs for my own Easter hatch before seeing this thread... Which by the way I have only read to page 34 so far.

. I wonder how many pages this thread will be when I get to my post here on page 70 something.

I will try to hatch a dozen FBCM and a dozen Wheaton Ameraucana (unless I find my sanity and someone local who wants to buy 1/2). Maybe a few Welsh Harlequin duck eggs and possibly if I find any East India duck eggs. The plan is to let, encourage, my Bantam Cochin and Sizzle hens and Welsh Harlequin duck go broody and use an incubator for the rest.

hi everyone i com with bad news

as i was leaving to go pick up my kids from girl scouts there was a dog in the yard attacking one of my chickens i ran as fast as i could to get him to leave her alone but was not fast enough needless to say she did not make it

on the better side of the news one of my silver spangled hamburgs was missing but we found her she came out of the woods as were were looking for her she was a little shaken but she is doing good. the one that did not make it was a black aorthlorp which was my sons

in the process we forund 19 eggs hidden under a tree do not want to chance eating them not sure how long they were there i candled them and did not see anything in them no veins so we threw them away had no room in bator and then i would have different hatch days

thank you i will be tracking down this dog i hate it when people throw there unwanted dogs on our road i am trying to comfort my son who was with me and saw the whole thing

at least i have a couple of her eggs in the incubator now just to baby them to make sure they hatch
