Tricia... I hate to admit it but I am IN LOVE with Steve the Goat.

You know, I love him too. I didn't even want that dang goat, he was DH's idea. But he is so chalked full of personality. He cracks me up. He does try to get in the house A LOT, but other than that, he's the best pet! One time I came home from taking the kids to school and he had snuck in between kids leaving for school. i found him napping on the dinning room floor, like he was meant to be there. Didn't touch a thing or mess in the house.

His FB page came from friends encouraging it based on a photo album "The Life and Times of Steve The Goat" on my FB page. I just can't believe how many people talk to him every day. It cracks me up!

If you see anything in my sig that you like I'll trade ya!

What kind of quail do you have? I have the possibility of black tailed white, black, barred and frizzled.

Nah, just plain Pharoah mutts. Cute, and tasty too I've heard.

We have offers to purchase some for dinner from quite a few people.

Mahonri, I would think again about submitting a revised form for 2009 depending on the amount you would get back. We had my MIL living with us for quite a few years and didn't realize that we could list her on our taxes since we paid all her expenses and she didn't need to file any more. We actually re-filed three years back to include her. We did not go through any audits. It is something to think about. NoseyChickens so glad to hear that your chickens are all fine after that tree fell. Glad none of them got loose either. Karimw your girl is just beautiful! I have thought of breeding my big girl to either a Freisian or an Andalusian but I don't think she would accept a stallion, I really don't want to go the AI route and when we built the barn, I had them put in only five stalls on purpose!

I get it... my chicken hoppy also has a Facebook page as kindof a what's happening in the coop and big house perspective. Although recently I've been bad posting personal stuff on her page.

They are beautiful! Great color! I owned a couple appaloosas years ago and had had many in training, but I found their attitudes left something to be desired. I've heard the Knabs have a good personality, but you're the first person I've talked to that actually owns some!

My broody's eggs didn't make it. I guess that's the difference between getting off the nest in Arizona and getting off in Iowa when it's -10! She probably didn't need to be gone for any time at all for them to freeze. It's been 4 weeks now so I finally took them away. Both eggs showed good development, but quit.

Unfortunatly she's still sitting on an empty nest. Do you think if I gave her eggs now she'd sit for another 3 weeks?
