I had a broody little easter egger that behaved like that. I stuck her in a cage up off the ground with nothing in the floor of it but wire and her feed and water cups. Three days and she was over it. But she laid a very short while before she was at it again. Some just have that tendency, I guess. I would have given her eggs to hatch, but she would get pushed off the nest by more dominant hens since she was low on the totem poll. They would peck on her head as she sat in the nest puffed up and growling. I don't have her anymore; she was a goofy little thing.
