Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I saw one a while back that held 25,000 eggs. I can dream.

Think I need 10 years worth of 100% hatches before I'd take that plunge

Finally caught up!

Got my "Mahonri Mix" of eggs sent to Phage. Here's hoping the post office doesn't scramble them all.
Ended up sending 1EE, 12 W/BW Ams and 5 FBCMs.

The FBCMs I hatched on NYD from Chookschicks are getting HUGE... they are like 3 times the size of the Icelandics and Ameraucanas!

I can't imagine how big their eggs will be.

I got 6 pullets from the 11 that hatched. I've rehomed 1 roo and hope to rehome the other 4 tomorrow.

I'll probably sell three of the smallest pullets out of the six as I'll have my marans pen full.

Can't wait to get the Icelandic eggs from Mary and Kathy and then as many of my own eggs to hatch along with a dozen TJs so I can join that club....

I think that would even exceed Chicken Math's capacity...

OK the does

Blackie...........no pedigree on her, but she's had a couple of nice litters.
Ears are too long and she plucked her face and frill. Also need a different name. I'll think of something.

Aphrodite

She was also plucked pretty good I guess, but it's trying to come back in. Ears are a touch to big, but she'll be fine after I breed her to Wascal.

Me too, it would probably take that long for me to fill one that big!

Oh boy!!! Always fun when it comes to building stuff to add to the flock

Oh no, this would be building stuff so I can sell BIRDS instead of eggs...I always end up selling my guinea eggs (or losing broody guinea hens) because I don't have space in my little hovabators for all of them. I also rarely set any of my coturnix eggs because I don't ever have space. The past 2 weeks I've had to move eggs to the hatcher up to a week earlier than I should because I needed the space in the incubator to set more eggs...and the birds aren't even really laying yet! I'm in trouble!
