Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I am thinking you should have thought of that about three weeks ago!

Don't feel like you are alone though. I have 11 chicks in the brooder right now and I will have 29 in the bator tomorrow. DH asked me quietly this morning if this is the last hatch we are going to do for a while

Wolftracks - big breath in, big breath out. I recently bid on and won an auction only to be told that the chickens had stopped laying. The seller offered to send them later when the hens started laying again. I wasn't happy but...what would I expect? that he squeeze eggs out of the hens? Your buyer will understand...or they won't. But you will know that it was an accident, and accidents happen to all of us. I am sending you a big hug.

Well I for one would like you to post pictures of this specifically showing us how you rotate the eggs and if the humidity is low whether you are misting your "incubator region" or what? Hmmmm....fascinating incubator this!

I would personally like to invite you to come and visit me here in Needles California. The weather is gorgeous so bring your sunscreen (and of course all of your unwanted chicks!)

Not counting what I've already sold, 9 chicks have already moved outside, I have 23 chicks in one brooder, 4 LF almost ready to go outside chicks in the 2nd one, 7 bantam almost ready to go outside chicks in a 3rd, I think 18 or so in the 4th brooder, 60 eggs in incubators, and 45 more eggs to go into the bators for this hatch. DH doesn't even ask any more...

I wish mine could go outside!
I have almost 100 chicks from 4 days to 4 weeks.

My DH no longer really asks any more, either. He's just glad to know that there's a big show & sale in May.... Three of them, actually.
