Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Debi-that should be OK until, as Mahonri(or someone) called it, "the period". If you can get it to about 65% that would be even better-considering where you live, do the best you can. Once you reach lockdown, jack that humidity UP(I've had it up to about 80%).

I think I can do that with that pad. It is just wet now, so I imagine soaked would do the trick.

You all keep talking about how awesome the pad is. You know what I have found works best? A tupperware with warm water, something super-absorbent submerged in it, with something draped over the side of the tupperware container to "wick" up the moisture.

Sorry, I tried so hard not to contribute that little factoid. All day, in fact.

Good grief you can wait a couple more days.

I can say that because my ducks have to cook 28 days and they are already in.

I've tried that stuff before. I live in an extremely dry climate and those "wicks" are dry as bone in a matter of hours. Even the pad was dry this morning after I wet it last night.

i use a container that holds 4 cups of water for the LG.

even a draped paper towel works--half in the water, half out.

OK, so can I FREAK OUT now? No eggs have arrived YET!!!!!

If they don't come tomorrow I will be joining Mahonri for a heart attack!
