Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

To answer your question, yes my Wheatens are laying. And yes I'm in the middle of collecting them for you.

Make it 64 if I can find eggs.......
Anyone mailing anything..........................
I am most interested in slw's,astrolorps,or ??????????
Not silkies, they are beautiful but not set up to seperate them and afraid the big chickens would pick on them.
I'll keep watching the auctions...

Wow! That's going to be a poultry population EXPLOSION!
It's going to be downright embarrassing if all I have hatching are duck eggs .
Chicken eggs are pretty scarce here right now (mumblegrumblemumble, buncha nonlaying chickens).
I've never done it before, but I'm tempted to hang lights in some of the coops to see if I can get them going again.

I would go to the New York/ W New York threads or PA threads and air it out there. There's gotta be a lot of peeps from there.

Interesting that I started my thread for my New Years Day Hatch last year, a year ago today.

Guess I got a jump start this year and we're already over 375 posts.....

I am really looking forward to this. I will start collecting eggs in a few days. It looks like I will be setting OE/CM, Phoenix and Silkies (maybe a few buff Orpingtons too, we'll see). I was really hoping that everyone else would have been laying by now to make this an interesting hatch.
