Mahonri, I now have 7 eggs for you and the number is growing. Today I watched a Wheaten egg come right out of the pullet, which looked incredibly painful, then I placed the pullet in with the Blue Wheaten cockerel again just in case fertility may be low still. When I returned to get the egg, my was it ROUND!
I'm gonna have to warn you when you receive the eggs, candle them all and make sure you know which end is which!
My Wheatens lay rounder eggs than my Black Coppers. . . Wish my Black Coppers didn't lay such oblong, pointed eggs. . . Though it is better for hatching, it does not allow darker eggs and is not the goal of the egg shape.
