I love hearing your stories about your time together!!! It is always entertaining!!! So totally off the chicken topic, but Ken was counseling my step daughter last night about choosing men, and he said "Look how long it took me and she is still a nut!". I aske dhim why I was a nut, and he said "Because you are still here." ♥♥♥

OMG !!!

Bill had same talk with my daughter and we said the EXACT same things!

I knew we got along for a reason. Ken had been disrespectful earlier and that was his way of saying he was sorry. I love that man.

See, and I was thinking I need 3 to be safe, in order to breed them.

Ours is 2 1/2 blocks from me.

I hated this house. Was supposed to be temporary while we bought one. The first Monday I got up, got dresses, kissed Bill and asked if he wanted to go and he laughed and said "I wondered why tou agreed with this place so easy"

How sweet!!! I know you miss him terribly.

I hope that we can somehow take your mind off of your loss, and I know having a bad hatch brought this all forward again. I am soo sorry for your pain. Keep being who you are and keep being strong. And remember to cry.

x2.......everything Debi said

OMG! I was looking in Fallbrook and there was 5 acres and NO house. The house had burned down so they are selling the land. They did put a mobile home on it. I kept thinking if I could live in a mobile home with 4 dogs.

I kept dreaming of how many chicken coops I could have built on 5 acres but then again Fallbrook is not flat.

Fallbrook .... California? We lived there in the 70s, and I thought it was so beautiful there!

Rainwolf, Does Emu taste like Ostrich? I will have to try it some day. I love Ostrich meat. Taste so good to me.

Nancy

Pretty close to ostrich.. there are differences but then it might have just been the cut of meat...

If I'm going to be that far maybe I can do a pick up and get it to Turlock or Patterson?

My thoughts exactly! I always think about just going out and living as simple as possible with animals and a garden.... Then I remember the how wonderful indoor plumbing and BYC is!
