The bump looks a lot like a picture on here previously. Someone said their chick had a bump like that. Appears to be on the shoulder, but the little one is still so folded onto itself and not fluffed that I can't really tell. I'm not touching it, that's for sure! I don't think it's yolk. It didn't appear to be in distress beyond the initial wrapping. Once I got it's head clear and the top of it's shoulder, it mostly just tumbled into my hand.
Thanks. I sure hope this little one makes it! It's been a fighter so far! And I hope I did the right thing. I don't think I can intervene like this again. It's just too hard second-guessing myself. Man, I'm tired! Maybe that's most of my problem. Two-year-old sleeping without me and chick breathing, at least. I need to go to bed!!
