did you get it filled in? I don't think I did mine right, but my percentage came out right so I am leaving as good.
got it in... but dunno if I should pull the infertiles from the "hatchable" count since I sent them all to lockdown without checking since I have the space.

That is what I did. I couldn't candle mine so I put them all in. I counted them as hatchable I guess. But when I did eggtopsies I had almost all yolkers. So I really only had like 4 hatchables. Either way my % for this contest came out to what is was supposed to be so I just left it alone.

yeah I only pulled 2 since they were "stinkers" and I could tell they would not hatch

Thanks for the feedback! I don't know if I'd trust myself to build one, not yet anyway. I think the stress of hatching will be bad enough without worrying about the quality of my work!
I once built one out of a card board box and an infra red lamp. It hatched some babies, but not as worry free as my Hova Bator for sure.
I've been contemplating building a 10 gallon tank hatcher for the next time i hatch quail. They get into all sorts of trouble in the bator when they hatch.
I was thinking I'd do that for a "recovery room" for newly hatched chicks. Love the quail pics by the way. Has anyone ever heard of the book "That Quail Robert"? It's a good story
I have to say that it's your choice. I still think, having done it anyway, my fighter wouldn't have needed help if I'd been more patient. It was 10 hours after her pip that I stepped in. How long as it been for yours?

How long is ages? Have you noticed a decrease in peeps?
I've been watching a broken part of the shell move when it breathes all day. Beak is out, so I can see it open and close its beak... Sorry, her beak. She broke her beak out a few minutes ago, but really hasn't moved or made progress today.
