Me either!

But I do want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made it such a success..

Now I've got to figure out a way of keeping these little buggers warm on my back porch cuz I don't think I can take many more days of them in the house.

I'm just AMAZED at how quickly they've grown and how much they can eat AND poop!

My deadline is Saturday... and THE DUST THEY ARE PRODUCING THROUGHOUT the house! GEESH!!!

Glad I only have 36 at this point....

Now that my still air bator's empty and cleaned , I mounted a fan in it and have started a test run . Instead of three thermometer/hygrometers giving me wildly different read outs , so far they read within a few 10ths of each other . I may just have to join the next hatch

I used to have an old hovabator and I mounted a fan and I loved how different it was on temps etc.. I hope it works much better for you.

Hahahahaha! True, the dust is awful. I've had chicks hatching almost weekly since '05 and as many as 200 chicks of various ages in the spare bedroom (long since renamed 'the chick room').

Yeah , this is a 1602n . I don't know how well it will stabilize yet , but do know its not thermal stacking like it was and the edges and corners are not running real cold . I really can't complain on the way it hatched chicks before , just had to learn to use egg cartons to keep the chicks from rolling eggs to the sides .

Since '05 Lisa? OMGGGGGG, are you telling me this disease of hatchitis is not curable? I thought I might get over it sometime, but if you are an example ..... looks like this is just the beginning!

Since DH gave me the go ahead to hatch again, I'm going to find a larger box and add a fan. I've learned my lesson the hard way.

Thank you Mahonri for hosting this hatch. It's been so much fun reading everyone's posts. I appreciate all of the great advice, and it was fun "meeting" so many nice people who are passionate (read: crazy) about chickens.

I'm closing down my computer for the night, so will catch up on MsFuzzybutts late hatcher in the morning. Hope it turns out ok for you!!
