Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Me?? If you are talking to me - THANKS!!! We love them, they are so cute. Not SQ but that is not what we were looking for. AND! The OEG roo flew into the LF pen today and curled up next to the fake owl and went to sleep. LMAO!

I saw my first call ducks at the show I went to a couple of weekends ago . Cute ? Yes , but do they ever shut up ?

Mine are in a nice coop with a pond out back so I only hear them if I am out there! I love their sounds!!!

The shipped BR eggs got here today, and after my chiropractor visit this afternoon, I stopped by a trader Joe's and picked up the freshest dozen available. (Plus a new brand of vodka in a pretty bottle to try -from Estonia!)

Eggs are now resting and warming. Incubator is ready. The other 'bator went into lockdown this evening.

The chicks in the ginormous brooder out in the new shed are doing fine, and the four call ducklings still in a brooder in my bathroom keep me happy in frequent visits. That is, when I need or want to visit that room.

I'm ready!

Sorry, I was talking to you-need to be more specific on a busy thread like this one!
I adore my Calls-I currently have 14 and am hoping to get some more this weekend.
Bad news about the OEG roo-all you can hope is that an owl doesn't fly into your coop or your boy there is going to want to cuddle with him!

SteveH-Mine are usually not too loud UNLESS they see me or DH-then it's game on!

Ken caught him and clipped his gorgeous wings! Had to be done I suppose, they are a breeding trio.... But dang he was gorgeous!

You do what you have to do to protect them. They'll grow back and he'll be beautiful again, soon!

They have to remain clipped til we can afford bird netting for the top. Not til next month at the soonest. But, as I said, they are for breeding, so all is good. I still crack up at a 6 inch rooster crowing E EEE EEE.
