Aloha chickens are a breed being developed right here in AZ with Laree as one of the principles involved in picking chickens and mating them. It will probably take a few years to get them where they want them, but they are really coming along.
I had the opportunity to add to the project by selling a Speckled Sussex to Laree (that I hatched from bargains eggs)
Olivia was beautiful before her molt but now she is SPECTACULAR and is adding some beautiful color to the project.
As for candling... If I knew how to make pics work in the dark I would demonstrate. Keep on candling... with time it will all make sense.
The Aloha chickens sound like a fun project! Is there a thread or info about the project and/or the chickens somewhere? I'd love to learn more about them.
Regarding the candling......I have looked at lots of pics of candled eggs at all different stages, so I know what they should look like. But I just don't seem to get the same results when I try candling my own. I will continue to practice though, and maybe one day I'll be confident and know what I'm looking at like you all are.
