. Actually , I think that seeing the early developement reminds me just how fragile that unborn [ or unhatched ] life is .

I know it! I keep saying that, too! There are so many reasons NOT to candle all the time. Drop the egg, bacteria contamination, fragile contents jostled around. I guess we have to be old to see it!

I candled mine tonight all of them....from 7 turkey eggs I have 5 one was clear the other a blood ring from 12 shipped eggs 8 looking good 2 maybes and 2 yolkers the rest are from my chickens from 28 1 clear with 2 maybes so from 47 eggs at the start down to 42 Oh my I might end up with 3 dozen birds.....I have 7 hatching for Christmas and I just put in 6 more turkey eggs to go with the one lonely one there were 2 others but they didn't make it.....I need to make signs for the feed stores I only want to keep the turkeys. Oh I have a broody too but I don't know if she'll stay but she's bound to try right now so since she's pecked me every time I've taken the eggs and it's raining cat and dogs outside I'm letting her try just need to mark them.....

My home is now Grand Central Station. Got up cuz I could hear noise, DS#1 and #3 were watching a video in the family room waiting for the dryer to finish DS#3s clothes.
Humidity in the hovabator had gone down to 25%... I put a little bit of water down through the tube. I'll put more in before I head to work.

Earlier we had 3 of DS#1s friends over. I'm going to need to go to the grocery store more often these next two weeks.

It's good having the closeness that the holidays bring.

I'm going to have a things to do list for the boys in the morning. Chores that need done before Christmas.....
