I was so hoping I could get some pics of the eclipse tonight, since its crystal clear out, but my camera has been sputtering for about 6 months, and Im afraid tonight it decided to croak. Ive needed one for a while, so I guess Ill be camera shopping. I would love to have gotten some pictures, tho. Rats.

It's a tad cloudy off an on out there... clouds streaming in from Cali. I hope by the time it's a full eclipse my son can get a good pic... and I also hope I'm sound asleep!

OMG I am so not able to keep up with this thread.

Mahonri get that kid to send me some pics. Every time a cloud passes the moon (pretty constant right now) my grand daughter yells "THE CLIPS IS COMING!" Then I have to walk out in this cold wet yuck and say, "no honey, that's a cloud" then I have to explain the solar system! She turns 5 on New Years Eve. After that I'm gonna tell her to read a book. Grandma's done after that. BTW she wants your 4 legged rooster. I tried to tell her it was real, but she gave me that side glare and said "you kidding me? You're kidding me right? That's a roosters head on a dogs picture, you silly gramma. See what happens when you get old?"

I need to go to the store and my street is flooded on both corners. Got lights and pumps set up at both ends, but I think they're all on a break, so can't get out.

I didn't candle today, but the 2 eggs with wax were weeping.

Didn't smell, but I could see through the window. I think I only have one possible for my Christmas Day hatch.

My dream would be that they all hatch. I desperately want light sussex. What do you have in your incubator? And what are you most hoping for? I guess that question goes out to everyone - WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING FOR?

I'm hoping for blue......whatevers! LOL I put in several eggs from my blue EE pullet. And also really hope that my one EE/Black Star chick hatches. Last hatch we got one chick that was an EE/Black Star and she is the most gorgeous blue pullet. She's built like the BS, though, not an EE. She's one of my favorites.....hope to get another one like her.

Oh, and I really hope to get some of the EE/Cuckoo Maran chicks to hatch too! I guess those would be olive eggers.
OK....so I guess I just really want them ALL to hatch.

Really hope to see some BW Marans hatch out from your incubator!! I myself am still hanging onto the chances of my ONE Blue Wheaten Marans egg hatching here. . . And of course, I'm putting more eggs in the bator pretty soon. (my new year's eggs are under a broody)
