Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

I want my Trader Joe's fertile eggs to hatch. Just because I read it can happen, with a couple other BYCers; I want it to happen with mine.

I also have some BR eggs in the 'bator.

But today I found a new Trader Joe's near my chiropractor's office, and bought another dozen eggs, which I'll set tomorrow. You know, just in case.... I figger $2.79 for a dozen eggs is waaay better than what I've been paying for shipped eggs and not having many hatch from those. Some hatch well, some don't. But I just want to say I have hatched some TJs eggs!

We NEED pictures!

I am just gonna have to let my Silkie rooster lose tomorrow and get pictures! He is the Alpha roo of my property and scares them all to death! He runs and jumps over them and they high tail it outta there.

I think its the coolest thing , people hatching those TJs . Doesn't say much for our postal system when those carefully wrapped and boxed eggs arrive in a sad state and can't be hatched all too often ; but a grocery chain can mechanicly wash , grade , carton , box , palletize , then ship across the nation on a freight truck and stocked in a cooler and still be hatchable part of the time . Maybe we ought to send our eggs " Trader Joes " instead of " Priority Express " .
