Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

One very hungry chick.

Idealistic - My parents had a washing machine that the level stop was not quite working in. If the lid was open during the intial fill, it would continue to run until the lid is closed or the machine is manually stopped. I forgot this not once but twice and the machine is in the garage (out of sight/hearing out of mind). The second time I did this, I had loaded it just before going to bed and thought I had closed the lid. It ran all night long (about 7 hours) and was still running when my father found it in the morning. I went into work late that day as we had a swimming pool in place of the garage.

My younger brother has five children and his oldest will be in Armenia for the next two years.

They will Skype with him tomorrow morning. My mother called to tell me she'll be there to 'talk' with that grandson.

Can you imagine how the holidays were before the internet and Skype. It is amazing that families can chat with their loved ones now. I love it. So happy all of you and your families get to "talk". I can't imagine how it would be to be apart for the holidays. The farthest I have family is a state away on either side of me.

Wishing you all a happy Christmas Eve and a very Merry Christmas!

We are having a "comfypants night" and watching movies and being lazy. I bought everyone new lounging fleece pants for the holidays to match their personalities. DH got ACDC ones, DS#1 got Tabasco Sauce ones, DS#2 got Dragon ones, and I got Tinkerbell ones. So no one is allowed to wear regular clothes for the rest of the night.

It will be fun!

DW has been baking up a storm this evening. Fresh rolls, fresh bread, Christmas cookies. The house smells wonderful... I'd put a fire in the fireplace but Phoenix is under a "no burn" restriction due to pollution. It's chilly out!

Well, per normal, Robert is being a little satan child today. His latest offense was to crack me in the head with a wooden golf club. I usually do things back to him so he knows how it feels, but I can't very well crack a three year old in the skull with a golf club. I kinda draw the line at that one.
