Good morning, all. I think I have brought DH over to the dark side! He didn't leave this morning without saying,"bye Chickie Chickie"! Silly man! He even wants to keep the little clown. And, the man who wanted me to "get rid" of our hens because he would have to take care of them over the summer, and that I shouldn't ever hatch again, wants me to build a bigger coop so we can hatch again and it would be easier for him to take care of the kids over the summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, who wants to come help me build??? (in the spring)

We woke up to a fluffy chick, as she dried nicely overnight. DS wanted to know how she grew so fast!!

My poor little clown is lonely. Stuffed animal doesn't seem to give comfort and the mirror isn't doing anything. She looks to be a split Delaware with a White Leghorn (? plain white rooster) as she has grey spot on her head and back. The breeder had 4 Delaware hens with her flock of White Leghorns. I was hoping for a Delaware.

see if you can get someone to get a buddie chick to her/him. Craigslist perhaps....

Love these suggestions. The only thing I can conjure up is the image of the "bald on both ends" bear from The Great Outdoors. I don't believe it had a name.

So sorry to hear about your beloved pet dying wolf

Been thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way, can't hurt at least

My husband is still busily building our 8x8 house and 8x8 run for the chickens we have and the ones I will hatch

Our little one is screaming at us 8 feet away in her brooder. She's getting to be okay with sitting there with activity going on, but she HAS To see us moving. If we sit down (for breakfast) she goes crazy. Stuffed animal, feather duster, no mirror yet, but she JUST WANTS TO BE HELD.

Try this one out on your husband, it worked on mine -- "I have to set some eggs today because when they hatch they can be this one's friends!"

I think everyone is waiting on me. *sigh* I still hear peeps and have for days. And it is still wiggling. If I get a chance here in a bit, to run home from work, I may pip the top and see what I can see down in there. I heard that you can see in better with just a tiny hole to let the flashlight shine in better.

I hate to keep messing with it.. I have candled the poor thing atleast twice a day since Sunday.. If it isn't shrink wrapped, it will be before it's over..
