Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Is this one egg gonna be set in a "special" incubator? One of those, ummmm....
BRA-bators?

I am perhaps the youngest member on BYC. So no, no it will not. Hmph!

My dog, cats, and chickens like the running stream, too. There is always a little bit of water up in the top of the hollow, and the chickens always run there first when they are let out (even though they have plenty of water), but everyone loves to drink from and wade in that stream when the water is running high!

My turkeys wade in, but I've never seen the ducks in the stream. LOL Stream does rush fast. Maybe too fast for ducks!

The only thing I want to replace on it is the front headlights. They've clouded over a bit with age. Mahonri... check with a windshield replacement company or even the dealership... They can clean up those headlights with some special cleaner in about 5 minutes and you won't have to replace them..

That's great that Brinsea is donating the incubator to the hatch!! Since only one person will win it, the rest of you can always buy some raffle tickets to support the Rocky Mountain Chickenstock and maybe win a Brinsea incubator or any of over 30 dozen different breeds of hatching eggs including. OEs, Cream Legbars, Blue Isbars, and much more...

I could possibly wait till the 6 th to set goose eggs, that would make the first 11 days old.... I planned on setting them Sunday the third tho. I am getting eggs on the 3 rd tho and there is no way I can hold them till the seventeenth. I want to join in but don't want to wast my 24 eggs that my niece is giving me. Can I set my chicken eggs and not join but join in for the duck part?

I learned a valuable lesson from the the tornado going over us: Sirens don't do as much good as people think. I always stand on the back porch and listen to find out where it's coming from and I could hardly hear it at all. At least my cousin got his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter up here to our house before it went over. They live in a trailer and I was worried about them.

You could join with your goose eggs, When are you getting duck eggs? Do you have more than I incubator or are you adding them in with the goose eggs?

We had some pretty bad weather in west central/ central Indiana today, but southern IN got some horrible storms. I spent the day in Indy picking up some birds from a fellow BYCer and came home to tornado reports just miles from where my family and my in-laws live. All have reported some damage, but everyone is safe. My grandparents lost a couple friends from their church though. Very sad.

Busy thread tonight.

I'm looking at the outflow right now (car, filter, med. bills) and it's NOT GOOD.

Oh well..... there she blows.
