At 4 months, she makes my big SLW look small! So I brought it home with a couple of month old polish (One red crested partridge and one blue&white crested blue) that I'm praying are pullets.

Got 8 eggs today.

So let me get this straight...


You are spearheading THE LARGEST EASTER HATCH-A-LONG IN BYC HISTORY, In which you are setting untold zillions of eggs that will hatch into a plethora of cute little fuzzballs

And yet, you still felt compelled to BUY juvenile chickens of undertermined gender at the feed store today

Floozy was very special. Her antics entertained us immensely. I can not believe I am so choked up over this. For heaven's sake.......

This was Floozy. She would not stay in the pen. She must have thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence, or something.

Then, she would beg to get back in!

Good news bad news good news

My DH agreed to build me a "silkie barn" by using an unused section of the main coop, I found my pomie goose sitting on eggs tonight right in the way so I will have to wait a month to build the silkie barn. I guess that's not really bad news.

I'm caught up

Seramas and Amers. hatching tonight/tomorrow

I guess my goose read the setting date for goose eggs March 3-10

Did someone ask for pics?

Here are our two pups. a Boy and a Girl. They came from our neighbors... Chocolate Lab "Jack",and our Red Golden Retriever, "Lilly".



A different hen laid each of these eggs.... I have three other Ameraucanas that lay as well (total of 16 hens)

And this is Sally, my SLW that I hatched from Kathy's eggs last Easter. She finally started laying... the brown speckled one on top.



Not the best image., but my "Kola"... the only Icelandic that I have laying at present. She lays the small white egg on the right side of the egg pic.



This is the 3.5 month old Jersey Giant that I bought at the feed store today. She's bigger now than any of my hens including Sally who was my largest.



This is the Lavender Blue EE Ameraucana I hatched out of bargain's eggs. I sure hope it's a pullet. Any guesses?


Here are the two polish chicks I also bought today.

Let's pray they are both females.

I got this beautiful specimen from expensive eggs hatched out by Laree for the NYD hatch and GIFTED to me by THE SHERIFF!
