Candled my eggs tonight and this is what I found

11 of 16 OE, NN/EE, EE, Frizzle, Sizzle - shipped eggs (lost mostly sizzle eggs here)
4 of 9 Barred Rock Mix - shipped eggs (lost ones were scrambled - darn PO)
10 of 10 Welsummer, Langshan, EE/BO, BCM - not shipped and not 100% on the dark eggs since very difficult to see. Includes a double yolk EE that I'm just trying and hoping. So far two little chickies moving around in there. I know that odds aren't good but the kids wanted to attempt it

So I'm at 25 of 35 that I set and hoping for twins!

I should candle only because I even set eggs at the bottom of the Sportsman this morning. Only way I could fit those is because ????? got moved to the hatcher for lockdown. Can't remember how many are in there right now.

Been getting lots of eggs. Some are mixed so will be OEs, EEs or maybe even some of my Lav Eggers. Then there are the pures. hmmmm What to do? I literally have eggs almost touching the acrylic door. Eggs everywhere!

I'm BUSHED! Long day at work... drill, fill, bill, did payroll, started tearing apart the office bathroom. I PRAY IT WILL BE DONE BY MONDAY MORNING... bought a new radio receiver for the office... DW took me to Wendy's for dinner. JBCB, Potatoe and a Frosty. Hit the spot.. did my chicken chores in the dark.

And since it was dark and I was tired I thought, I ought to cool off in the pool.. so I walked in up to my belly button and walked right back out. TOO COLD at this point. Got 8 eggs.

CE for the next three days. Oh JOY.

We now have more posts this hatch than last year and it won't be long until we have more views than the old fashioned broody hatch a long.

Burns looking much better tonight, and much less painful.

glad the burns are doing better. We are getting so much daylight it's hard to stay up late enough to candle. The barn has LOTS of windows and no dark closets . I have to wait till after 9 if I'm going to have any hope of seeing anything.

I have been having issues posting tonight so hopefully I can from my phone if I can remember everything.

Emvickery, I have 3 broodies, come and get em. You will have to dig one out of a hole. Try not to lose any fingers, she is FIESTY!

Chestnut, my eggs are no where near that developed I hope I am not sitting on a bunch of quitters.

Someone was talking about skunks. Human urine is a deterant for most wild animals. In a house filled with men and boys I have them regularly "water" all around my coops. Also works against snakes.
