Did you end up taking the white homozygous home? I wish I had of had room for one more rooster, he was a steal! And handsome in a showgirl kind of way

ok, yes, that was me, came in the truck with the pheasants, i thought i recognized my own baby..lol

sylvia, i thank you ,i am glad you enjoyed them.

Verthandi- Oh, yeah, I still have Sonny, the homozygous roo. I was surprised no one snatched him up, of all the birds I brought.

If you want him at some point, let me know. Maybe we can do a swap.

So that chick is a splash too? Told you I wasn't good on silkie colors......slinks away.....or is it blue or gray?

The splash color I thought I understood until I started breeding my polish. I have three hens that are light blue with black splashes. Neither breed true to splash so I now believe they are blue.

you know, i thought it was splash, in the pic it looks blue.

verthandi, you can look at my website, and look at my splash silkies, they are more of a blue undertone with dark blue spots, not so much extremely white with blue spots, if this makes sense.

I'll keep that in mind, wonder how Percy will feel about building two more chicken runs instead of one more? ;0

Hi All -

We had a great time - it was nice to chat it up with some wonderful people. I found out my two br mixes are probably boys (sigh) so we'll be home hunting for them.

verthandi - thank you for the eggs - they arrived home safe and sound and can't wait to make some egg dishes now!

The raffle was great - I feel so guilty taking home all my good stuff ! I am in love with that basket I took home and hubby can't wait to try the pickled eggs.

Thank you for all the hard work - did I overhear someone offering another spot with electricity?? For FREE???

Also - next year (or maybe this fall) - maybe do it earlier in the cooler spring and/or later in the cooler fall.

Great Job everyone!

Hope all had fun.

It does have darker splashes of color mixed in, guess we can just wait and see what it grows up to look like.

I'll let you know, it is going in my showgirl pen when it grows up, so it will have little friends for company. Thanks for bringing the chick, if you couldn't tell already I am really taken by how sweet it is. Nice job raising the little bugger!
