Maybe this fall us a good idea.

would this place also be in litchfield? it was 2hrs for us. i was working on putting one together for scarborough, is scarborough reasonable for anyone??

Oxford is western Maine, there is a show at the Farmington Fair Grounds Sunday August 3 begining at 8 am. This will be with the Northern New England Bird Fanciers Club. As for this club, they will not show or do anything for the Oxford County Fair Grounds- that is the story at this point (correct me if I'm wrong).
But I do have to say, gooooood people were running around today. Oh, Milford I tried name tagging everyone, lol, and I never got 1/2 of them! Next time, I'll plunk myself at the gait with pen, paper and name tags! Gotta find something for me to do!

Louella, I love that one BR roo, if Basil, my roo doesn't make I will most definately get in touch. Not only is he a beautiful bird with those splashes of color but I just really like the mellow personality of my BR hen and would love to have more of her around.

I have my two new guineas here and my lonely girl is already perking up. She's back up on the wall again and they're calling back and forth to each other. She hasn't quite figured out where they are (in a large crate in my storage stall until we upgrade the current stall/coop to create a lockdown later this week) but she's looking all around and is more lively than I've seen her in over a week. I'm so very glad because while I'm not personally attached to the guineas, I hate to see an unhappy animal and she's clearly so much happier now ... a huge relief to me!!

We are new chicken people and would have loved to attend the Chickenstock... However, too far away for our family:barnie ... There are lots of poultry farmers/collectors in our neck of the woods... Hancock and Washington counties. Bangor/Brewer would be a bit closer for a lot of us Down Easters. Today sounded and looked like a good starting off point for future "Chickenstocks".

that's the problem with Maine - it is just too big. I could do either Litchfield or Bangor - both are about 45 min - 60 min from me. Scarborough would be 1.5 - 2 hours. Maybe we need to rotate through areas - as I can only imagine how far it would be for those in the wahy north.

Redken - I'm so glad your hen is feeling happier, I do hope she perks right up. I am also hoping your roo makes it, but I haven't given up on hens yet (LOL yeah right).

Louella
